This fresh book, published in September this year, details the biography of one of the most popular influencers in the world of cryptocurrencies, Elon Musk. For two years, Walter Isaacson had followed the billionaire and communicated both with his friends and opponents, finding out various insights from Musk’s life.

Among other things, the book mentions his involvement with Dogecoin, talks with Sam Bankman-Fried about buying Twitter, and discussions with his brother about social media on blockchain.

Published just over a year ago, this book is a collection of memoirs and monographs by Ethereum’s  creator, Vitalik Buterin, over the past decade. It tells the story of Ethereum, its evolution, and the challenges faced by blockchain technology.

While the book contains a lot of maths and technical details, it is accessible even to readers without extensive technical knowledge. It offers insights into Buterin’s perspectives on the real-world problems that blockchain technology, particularly Ethereum, can address.

“American Kingpin: The Epic Hunt for the Criminal Mastermind Behind the Silk Road” by Nick Bilton

This 2017 book chronicles the life of Ross Ulbricht, the creator of Silk Road, the largest online black market operating on the Tor network. Silk Road facilitated transactions for various illicit items — from drugs to fake IDs and weapons — conducted using cryptocurrencies. It worked from 2011 until Ulbricht’s arrest  in 2013. According to the FBI, in 2.5 years, Silk Road transacted 9.5 million Bitcoins. In 2015, Ross Ulbricht was sentenced to life in prison.

Author Nick Bilton, Vanity Fair and New York Times correspondent, provides a detailed account of Ross Ulbricht's story, based on extensive research and interviews with those connected to Ulbricht, including his family and lawyers. Despite Ulbricht declining to be interviewed, the book paints a vivid picture of his personality and his struggles with law enforcement.

By the way, Ross Ulbricht was arrested on October 2, 2013. So, he has been imprisoned for 10 years already.
